Ruoxin Florence Bai, a user experience designer based in California, views user experience as a form of storytelling. It narrates the responsive relationship between human beings and their environment. These narratives, both intentional and inevitable, emerge among individuals, and communities, through digital interactions, and within physical spaces. Their evolving plots are shaped by cultural and socio-economic influences. User experiences, therefore, act as mediums that foster exchanges and conversations — visually, physically, and mentally.
Her multicultural background drives her experiments in user experience, mobility design, architecture, and photography. She commits to interdisciplinary thinking and making in multiple scales and dimensions. She has long been interested in reframing and expanding the prior knowledge to an infinite possibility of new materials. She does not believe in the perception of “boundaries”.
